Born in July of 1996 out of the ashes of the now defunct group CIA, SHOCK started from humble beginnings. Led by Outbreak, they overcame the early obsticles which face every new group, and quickly earned a reputation as a consistant group that released nearly every day. In October of 1996, under the leadership of Outbreak, SHOCK successfully merged with the group CORP (The Corporation). Now under the stronger leadership of Outbreak, Bud, and Novocaine, SHOCK steadily grew into the formidable group it is today. Gaining the monikor "The Masters of Mass", they released, without missing a day, for over eight months straight, an incredible feat! In the summer of 1997, SHOCK said goodbye to Novocaine, (formerly of such groups as TDT,HST, RTN, CD, MTY, etc.) as he retired from actively participating in the scene. Later that summer, Outbreak as well took leave from the scene, although both can still be found visiting every now and then. In 1998, SHOCK passed a major milestone, having reached and surpassed 1000 releases, a feat which very few utils release groups have ever accomplished - such output is generally reserved for cracking groups. 1998 also saw the birth of SHOCK's ISO division, SHOCKiSO. Although the focus is and will always be on providing quality rip applications to the end users, SHOCKiSO will bring our ISO releases to the world, from the same people behind SHOCK. This momentum carried straight through to 1999, where SHOCK continued to forge ahead, passing the 1500 release barrier. Moving ahead into the year 2000, SHOCK passed the 2000 release milestone on May 30th, joining a selection of utils groups which can be counted on one hand. Through all of this SHOCK continues releasing, proving its staying power - we'll be here long after the rest have crumbled to dust!
